PART DEUX

Still to do: Secret Area 001 (through the archway)

This is part two of the level so far - full colour story board will be coming soon...
So far we have:
  • Level Start (player straight on = main trunk, player left = secret area 1)
  • Crossroads (player left = main trunk, player right = secret area 2)
  • Door room (as player approaches there's dialogue and a small amount of real-time animation - NO CUT SCENE AS SUCH)
Continue to screen right after 'Door' = Final boss of level.

Other ideas for Miniboss section

Protagonist enters from ladder onto this middle platform.

The boss slides down the CURRENTLY DRY slide 

The fight begins. Watch out though as during the fight water will cascade down the slide and wash your character into the murky abyss which lies off the platform. this is avoided by moving deeper into the background to what is marked on this picture as "safe" zone.


Once the boss is defeated, the drawbridge on the right side will drop revealing passage to the next stage in the level




Protagonist enters from ladder onto a small dry tile.

The boss is standing in the middle of the room awaiting the player's arrival.

The ditch area around the edge is currently dry, at certain points in combat, the ditch will become flooded up to and slightly above the level the pipes are sitting at. After some time has past, the ditch will drain.

During the flooded times, if touched by the water the player will either die or lose health, so they must go over to the stairs as fast as possible and jump from the top step to the nearest platform.

The spikes in the walls will extend (2/3 levels at a time leaving one safe platform) sequenced in a fairly easy to manage way.
